Parrot SK4000 for Motocyclists |
|
Parrot, leader in wireless peripherals around the mobile phone, has launched the Parrot SK4000, a music kit that allows riders making phone calls, listen to stereo music, FM radio or various analog sources via its mini-USB line-in connector. The kit itself fits into a bike helmet and is controlled through a remote that clips onto the motorcycle's left handlebar. Users can switch sources, answer calls, and change tracks/stations. The Parrot SK4000 uses multi-user voice recognition software, which eliminates the need to record voice tags; the kit recognizes the contact's name spoken by whoever is using the kit and will dial the number automatically. The Text-to-Speech (TTS) voice synthesis feature reads contact names from the phone book through the earpiece and identifies radio stations to help the rider select a station without taking his or her hands of the handlebar. |
