A good idea for all riders!

ImageNovadays for bike-fanciers exist not so many Bluetooth solutions. But now, with N-Com, they can listen to the music via A2DP and stay in touch with friends while riding.

N-Com is the Nolangroup communication system that allows riders to connect to cell-phone, to satellite navigators or to speak to the passenger. This system is homologated ECE/ONU 22-05, it is multi-functional to meet the different needs of communication, and very easy to be assembled. To install N-Com is nothing to do: most models are already preset for installation. You can also move it easily from one helmet to another.

Above all, with the Bluetooth Kit2 and the Bluetooth Kit X-Series you can connect your Nolan or X-lite helmet to a Bluetooth cell phone or to a wireless satellite navigator. Thanks to the A2DP profile, you can also listen to high quality music in wireless stereo mode. The various Multimedia Wires can be used to connect another device (MP3 reader, Satellite Navigator, motorcycle-motorcycle radio) or to connect to the audio system onboard your motorcycle (BMW, Honda Goldwing, Harley Davidson, so on). You can use the Bluetooth Kit2 and the Bluetooth Kit X-Series also as a cable interphone, by connecting it to a Nolan helmet equipped with any N-Com® system. The passenger can communicate with the pilot in interphone mode and can also listen to all the connected audio sources (Mp3, GPS navigators, MP3, Bluetooth with A2DP,etc.) Great isn't it? Your buddy won't feel lonely while you're enjoying Led Zeppelin.

very disappointed in the Nolan N 103 helmet with a n-com bluetooth that was installed at a BMW dealer, can't hear it at speeds above 70 kms/hr, static and poor reception. This equipment is very over priced and over rated. It does not adapt to my Garmin Zumo 665 GPS. Very poor reception.

I have the Nolan 102 with the Ebox and I have used my Samsung Mp3 player, Motorola Razer with it for several months. The Razer was flawless in BT mode. The Samsung got an update to the firmware, and that caused it to shut off if it detected that the earbuds were not plugged in or BT not connected. This was an issue when using the phone, as it would shutoff if I took a call. Using the wire for the Mp3 player fixed this issue.
Now as for sound/clarity: I normally drive 70+ on the interstate with the face shield up and hear perfectly fine. Callees say I sound like I am in a phonebooth, but they can nto tellthat I am going 70 on a M/C! Just upgraded to an Apple iPhone 3Gs with voice control. Works fantastic. Much better than the Samsung.

It would be a better article if it had some tests to support it, writing down the information provided for the manufactured is not useful.

I bought the ncom, tested with a sony w580i, a BB bold and several recent nokia's. Only nokias were able to transfer music, but i did have the chance to test them on a ride.
Sony and bb did not work.
N-com is a very expensive device but mostly useless. My personal advice is don't purchase this product because hast a lot of issues. Also nolan doesn't provide any technical support, I mailed them and didn't get (so far) any useful. information. Also if you have a N103 helmet, they are too noisy, at 100kph (60miles or so) you can heard any music (I used it with my iphone and a wire)
To finish, actually yuo don't need to purchase nolan wires (multimedia, intercom, etc) they are normal wires, except the ones specialy designed for some special plugs like the ones used in sony), and they are expensive too

Drive with Venturi Mini
Relax and drive – your new helper streams music, allows to make and answer calls holding the wheel tightly, informs who is calling with the help of OLED display, and charges your portable devices thanks to a single USB charger. This device combines an FM transmitter for audio with Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. Of course it has built-in support for the A2DP profile.
